Someone is impersonating Francesca Rheannon and the radio program and podcast Writer’s Voice in order to solicit authors for fraudulent interviews and request money.

The person or persons involved have been using the email address thewritersvoicepodcast@gmail.com. This email address is not associated with Francesca Rheannon or Writer’s Voice.

The fraudulent account has used Francesca Rheannon’s name and photograph and has contacted authors through contact forms on websites, inviting them to appear on Writer’s Voice. At least one author was subsequently asked to make a $400 bank transfer to a purported “payment manager.”

Writer’s Voice never charges authors or publishers for interviews. We do not charge booking fees, appearance fees, scheduling fees, promotional fees, or any other fee in connection with an interview. We will never ask an author or publisher to make a bank transfer or other payment in order to appear on the program.

If you receive an interview invitation claiming to be from Francesca Rheannon or Writer’s Voice from thewritersvoicepodcast@gmail.com, please do not respond, send money, provide banking information, or click on payment links. The message did not come from Francesca Rheannon or Writer’s Voice.

If you have already corresponded with this account or received a request for payment, please preserve the emails, including the original message headers and any payment instructions.

We are documenting these incidents and reporting the fraudulent impersonation to the appropriate services and authorities.
