This week on Writer’s Voice - 9/8

September 13th, 2006

David Callahan tells us how progressives need to frame the morality issue. Author of THE CHEATING CULTURE, Callahan’s new book is THE MORAL CENTER. He’s co-founder of the progressive think tank, Demos.

Also, Dina Friedmantalks about her great new book for young readers, PLAYING DAD’S SONG.

Still to air on Valley Free Radio 9/7: We talk to investigative journalist Greg Palast about his latest scoop — that the White House knew about the levies breaking before New Orleans was flooded and didn’t warn the local authorities.

Also, FAREWELL AND THANKS to DAISY MATHIAS. Writer’s Voice beloved co-host Daisy Mathias is getting her own show on WMUA 91.1 in Amherst. It’s called POETRY A LA CARTE and it will air on Fridays at 4:30 PM. We’ll say “au revoir” to Daisy with a look back at some of her favorite interviews on Writer’s Voice. (And she’ll still guest-host from time to time on the show.)
