Podcast 72: THE HAKAWATI and SO WRONG FOR SO LONG

May 20th, 2008

We talk with Lebanese writer Rabih Alameddine about his new novel, THE HAKAWATI. Framed around the story of a family in modern-day Lebanon, the novel weaves fiction, fable and epic into a wonderful tapestry.

And journalist and editor Greg Mitchell tells us about how the press and the punditocracy failed the public on Iraq. His book is SO WRONG FOR SO LONG: How the Press, the Pundits and the President Failed on Iraq.

Sorry - this isn’t about the content… merely that this show dates to 20 May and none other since then. I heard part of a show regarding Blackwater today, 29 May, @ about 03:50 AM which I can’t seem to access online nor find the podcast for it. Any help?

    Cheers.
