Frank Bascombe is back, twenty years after Richard Ford’s THE SPORTSWRITER and ten years after the Pulitzer Prize-winning sequel, INDEPENDENCE DAY. We talk with the Pulitzer Prize-winning author about the final novel of his trilogy, THE LAY OF THE LAND. Also, Scott Ritter’s latest book, TARGET:IRAN came out last Fall. Writer’s Voice interviewed him then, but news this week that American forces attacked the Iranian consulate in the Iraqi city of Erbil is just the latest in the gathering evidence that what Ritter warns about in his interview with us is happening. We air portions of our interview with Ritter again this week.
